At this point, even those living under rocks are aware of the "upset" last night in men's Olympic hockey. I just wanted to put up a big 'ol picture of it.
USA! USA! USA!

What an amazing game. The Canadians have definitely shown some problems when the opposition generates offense from the points. Switzerland proved that and the U.S. rode Rafalski. Canada generated a ton of great chances -- they just couldn't solve Miller. However, I thought the U.S. played hard in all three zones. I still think Canada goes to the quarters. Whatever -- I went to bed with a smile on my face and it was still there when I woke up.
ReplyDeleteImpressive win for the USA last night! I have to admit that I didn’t think they would win, partly due to the fact they hadn’t defeated Canada in half a century. I am glad they did though. I hope this win gives them confidence that they can beat any team and win Olympic gold!
