Here is a video clip from a couple seasons ago of a fight between noted tough guy Georges Laraque and Raitis Ivanans. The replay gives great audio of them deciding to 'go' in the face off circle. Enjoy!

Top Fights of 2008 - 2009
For those friends of the fisticuffs, enjoy. You won't have to wait long to see some familiar faces. My favorite was Cote vs. Godard at #2. Post yours in the comments section.
For those of you who stay in your seats when guys square off, we'll catch you on the next post.

Friday Fight Goodness
We here at Jackets Required are going to tackle at least a little of everything as it pertains to the amazing game of hockey. We might even tackle some other things…time will tell.
An area of hockey that I’ve always been drawn to is the pugilistic aspect. The fights. Why they happen, when they happen, the guys who take on the enforcer role and the code that they live by. Those topics will be heavy lifting for another day.
Today I want to pass along a great view about two of the legends of the fight game, Bob Probert and Tie Domi. It’s from Domi’s ‘What It Takes’ and looks back at their historic tilts and the electric atmosphere around them. Watch how Mark Messier doesn’t mince words telling Domi that he needs respect his peers. PSFW (pseudo-safe for work, I think I heard one off color word). Enjoy!
