Hockey headlines for the CBJ and from around the league. Mmmmm... hockey
- Chimera gets traded from the CBJ to the Caps. That same day the Jackets end a 9 game losing streak, and the Capitals, 1st place in their division, lose to the last-in-their-conference Hurricanes. Just sayin. Ryan Kennedy of THN gives his 2 cents on the trade.
- Four current CBJ-ers have made their home country's Olympic rosters. Tyutin (RUS), Pahlsson (SWE), Modin (SWE) and Jurcina (SLO). Nash is a lock to represent Canada as well, bringing the likely total to 5. Former Jacket Ole Kristian Tollefsen, currently with the Flyers, will play for Norway.
- After their bus got stuck in the mean streets of Buffalo, some Penguins had to get out and push. No word if Crosby cried to officials about it.
- Jackets play on the Island tonight, looking to carry over some Freddy Mo-mentum (couldn't resist) after last night win over the Wings. Previews from the Dispatch, some digital fish-wrap from the home town of Joey Buttafuoco, and ESPN.com.
- Our old buddy Nikita Filatov will be playing tonight in the World Juniors (6:30, NHL Network/TSN). Check out the full schedule here.
